2022 Program Begins Week of October 17

This is a virtual program; participants must have a computer & good internet connection with proper audio & video functioning. Active participation is required at all workshops.  We spend two sessions on each topic: the first is a workshop focused on a specifc topic and the second is a facilitated discussion of how to apply the lessons learned.

YEAR 1 CURRICULUM

Executive Bios / Personal Branding
An introduction of the program will includes writing a professional bio and sharing what we hope to get out of the program.  Learn to brand yourself in a positive, professional way.

The Art of Networking
Networking has become a critical element for growing a career and/or business.  In this session, we work with the Mentees to design their own custom commercial and teach effective networking practices.

DISC: Understanding and Working with Different Personalities
Understand how you and others are "wired".  We'll examine personality types and provide insight into why some interactions are successful and others struggle, and what you can do about it.

Difficult Conversations
Everyone deals with difficult conversations and difficult personalities.  We will discuss various scenarios and how to manage those conversations for better outcomes. 

Nego-SHE-ating Skills
Women typically struggle to be proficient in this skill.  During this workshop we role-play in order to see how we react to certain negotiating tactics, and how to develop a few of our own.  

Leadership and Attentive Listening
Learn traits you can cultivate within yourself so others view you as a leader.  Leadership excels when others feel empowered to follow a direction, which includes listening to feedback, ideas and concerns.  Learn how to be an active, attentive and reflective listener using all senses so others will follow you to help you become a stronger leader.

Virtual meeting skills (how you appear/how you present) and enhancing your elevator pitch.

DISC: Understanding Different Personalities
Facilitated Discussion on DISC
Understanding the different personalities and how it can increase your leadership skills.  Difference between Managers and Leaders.

The Female Advantage
Leveraging EQ and how to increase our own EQ.  Competence vs Confidence.

Working in Teams
Learn skills to accomplish more as a team.

The Road to My Future
Bring together the lessons learned to put your pan into place

Grow your ability to be seen as someone who can lead a project, lead a team or move up within your organization when the opportunity presents itself.

Understanding Corporate Finances
Introductory understanding of what an organizaiotn looks at to grow in thier market, including finance documents, terms to understand and how a corporate finance team functions to help and organization grow.

Bridging the Competence Gap
Identify those skills needed to enhance competence in abilities to success, including confidence and learning practices.

Fighting Imposter Syndrome 
Oversome self-doubt to step forward and take on additional challenges in the workplace.

Difficult Conversations Made Easy
Work to gain confidence with the challenging conversations that all employees face over the life of thier emplyment, both individaully and as a team member. 

Building Teamwork
No one is successful when they go it alone.   How building teams helps everyone to succeed in the organization, and how to address challenges that might arise in creating a well-functioning team.
